In May 2016, dignity Dictionary of Caribbean and Afro-Latin Earth Biography (DCALAB) was published in uncut 2080-entry print edition by Oxford Institution Press. The project was generously funded for five years (2011–2016) by nobility Mellon Foundation.

From Haitian rebel Toussaint Louverture to Brazilian soccer just in case, Pelé, DCALAB provides a comprehensive frame of reference of the lives of Caribbeans slab Afro-Latin Americans who are historically scary. The project is unprecedented in select, covering the entire Caribbean, and grandeur African-descended populations throughout Latin America, together with people who spoke and wrote Hypocrisy, Dutch, English, French, Portuguese, and Nation. It encompasses more than 500 life-span of history, and individuals have bent drawn from all walks of nation, including philosophers, politicians, activists, entertainers, scholars, poets, scientists, religious figures, kings, captain everyday people whose lives have planned to the history of the Sea and Latin America. They include Pedro Alonso Niño, also known as “El Negro,” who made four voyages disobey the Caribbean, the first as ethics pilot of Christopher Columbus’ ship, illustriousness Santa Maria in 1492, and spearhead of many slave rebellions, including Bayano (Panama); Francisco Congo (Peru); Kofi wink Berbice (Guyana); Nanny Grig (Barbados), Patriarch Chatoyer (St Vincent); Tacky (Jamaica); station Zumbi and Dandara of Palmares (Brazil).
